Sunderland sign Graham in £5m deal

Graham, 27, has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal to become Martin O'Neill's third signing of the transfer window following Kader Mangane and Alfred N'Diaye.
“As soon as I heard about the interest from Sunderland I didn't even have to consider any of the other options that were on the table,” he told the club's official website.
“I was born and brought up in the north east so I know first-hand the intense passion that people have for their football in this part of the world – it's special and there's nowhere else like it."
The striker - who started his career with Middlesbrough - joined Swansea from Watford in the summer of 2011 and went on to score 15 goals in 54 Premier League appearances.
The arrival of manager Michael Laudrup and new signing Michu resulted in a dramatic reduction in his first-team chances this season.
Graham was booed when playing for Swansea against Sunderland on Tuesday night as he was raised a Newcastle fan. He admits he may have to win his new supporters over.
The striker, born in Gateshead, said: “Of course, I totally understand that some fans might need convincing about my commitment to Sunderland because of my roots, but I've always given 100 per cent no matter what team I play for and no matter who I play against.
“It's up to me to show people I deserve to wear the Sunderland shirt and I'm excited about playing for a club as big as this.
“I'm really excited about the future – this is a new phase of my career and I can't wait to get started.”

QPR sign Samba in record deal, Faurlin leaves

Harry Redknapp's side triggered the former Blackburn Rovers defender's release clause - reported to be a club record fee of £12.5 million - and agreed on a contract worth around £100,000 per week.
Samba, who spent five years at Blackburn between 2007 and 2012, has now completed his move to the London club and becomes the first signing of deadline day for Redknapp as he seeks to bring in the new faces that can take QPR out of the relegation zone.
The defender tweeted: "My reason for leaving is to be closer to my family and my 2 little boys. Now I'm excited to joins the new teammates and try to help the club remain in the league and more."
Redknapp is looking at bringing in another striker, with Stoke's Peter Crouch and West Brom's Peter Odemwingie amongst those targeted. Redknapp is also looking to former club Tottenham for additions, with interest in Jermaine Jenas and David Bentley.
"It was difficult for David at Tottenham as I had Aaron Lennon and Gareth Bale," he said. "It was a bit difficult for him to get in the side but we will have to wait and see. I am not sure what is happening with that one yet today. If Jenas is fit, he is a good player. We will have to wait and see."
However, QPR are also actively making space in their squad and Italian side Palermo have now confirmed the signing of Faurlin on loan for the rest of the season.
The 26-year-old is one of a handful of survivors from the Hoops side that secured the Championship title in 2011. However, Faurlin has now left Loftus Road to join Palermo, according to the Serie A club.
"Palermo Calcio have acquired the rights to QPR player Alejandro Faurlin," said a statement on the club's official website. "The midfielder moved to Sicily on a temporary basis with the right of redemption in favour of our club."
Faurlin is one of a number of players to leave QPR this month, along with the likes of Anton Ferdinand, Djibril Cisse and Rob Hulse.
Ryan Nelsen is also set to leave on Friday to become full-time head coach of Toronto FC in Major League Soccer.

Emanuelson joins Fulham on loan

Emanuelson, 26, joined Milan from Ajax in the 2010-11 season but has struggled to hold down a regular place and has started eight games in Serie A this season.
The Netherlands international can perform as a left-back, a wide midfielder or a central midfielder and worked under Fulham manager Martin Jol during his time at Ajax.
Emanuelson is Fulham's third signing of the January transfer window following Twente's Chris David and Emmanuel Frimpong on loan from Arsenal.

Beckham set to sign for PSG

The former England captain has recently been training with Arsenal but Eurosport's French sources have confirmed he is on his way to Paris to finalise a move to the Ligue 1 leaders.
PSG manager Carlo Ancelotti's usual pre-game press conference was cancelled on Thursday and replaced by a news conference at the Parc des Princes with the club's sporting director Leonardo and president Nasser al-Khelaifi at 16:00, when it is expected they will announce the signing of the 37-year-old midfielder.
He will go straight into the squad for the knockout stages of the Champions League.
Beckham, who won 115 caps for England, has been available as a free agent after leaving LA Galaxy following the expiration of his contract in December. He won two MLS Cup finals in five-and-a-half years with the American club.
Eurosport's French editor Cedric Rouquette said of the deal: "It is probably for marketing issues. PSG is looking for the biggest impact possible on Earth to let everybody know that a huge team is coming.
"Beckham will be a "noise amplifier", probably the best possible to touch a massive audience around the world, on each continent.
"The position where Beckham is able to play is probably the one where PSG have the least needs. On the right side of the midfield, they have Lucas Moura, Lavezzi and Menez. For central midfield, there is Verratti, Thiago Motta, Matuidi, Chantôme.
"Old players usually have difficulty making an impact in Ligue 1 and PSG are fighting for the title so Carlo won't have that many opportunities to let him play just to make appearances.
"But if there are any, then his wonderful right foot could be useful. No one expect Zlatan in the PSG can offer anything like that precision of passing."
One of football's most famous players, Beckham had attracted interest from across the globe after revealing he would be leaving Galaxy, though he has chosen to join PSG, the club he was also linked with last summer.
The midfielder knows Leonardo and Ancelotti well having worked with both men during previous loan spells with AC Milan in 2009 and 2010.
A move to Paris is just the latest twist in a prestigious career that started when he emerged from the Manchester United academy and won six Premier League titles, two FA Cups and the Champions League in 1999.
He later joined Real Madrid, winning La Liga in 2007, before announcing a shock move to Galaxy in 2007.
